Allison Wanda Ruth[5] is a human and the owner of a Key of Kings. Born on Earth, Allison worked as a barista before being taken to Throne against her will. After nearly being sold into slavery and killed in the Battle of Hell 71, Allison undergoes a dramatic change of character with the help of Cio and 82 White Chain. Shortly after, Zoss reveals that he orchestrated her transfer because Allison is part of an impending prophecy, one in which only she can overthrow the Seven.
Appearance[]
Allison's appearance varies greatly throughout the books. Originally, Allison was relatively skinny with brown hair which she dyed blonde. As a side effect of the Blue Devil Liquor which allows her to speak and understand Universal Metaconstant, she sported a pair of small, fleshy horns on her forehead during the trip into Hell 71.[6] After escaping from the Palace of Radiance, her arms and legs became scarred in several places, and she cut her hair into a short bob.[7] She gained a series of scars on her face due to events during the heist of The Vault of Yre.[8] During that same heist, due to Incubus's influence and an increased reliance on her demiurgic powers resulting in a temporary change in eye colour to red, and a permanent change in hair colour to white.[9] One year later around the time of the Ring of Power, Allison had become much more muscular thanks to extensive physical training under White Chain, and her hair had grown out to roughly its original length.[10] She sustained grievous injuries during the battle against Jagganoth, including losing her rightside arm, leg, and eye. After a three-year coma inside Jadis' Temple-Ziggurat, she was seemingly healed though severely emaciated and malnourished.[11] She eventually removed the concealed prosthetics which only created the illusion of being healed,[12] and after a training period of three months under Methangi ten Meti regained the musculature of her peak fitness, along with hair styled in a crew cut. [13]
Personality[]
Like her appearance, Allison's personality changes greatly throughout her journey as well. At the time when she arrives on Throne, Allison is in many ways a very typical early 20s aged woman. She's a nerd who enjoys fantasy and anime, struggles with her confidence and self image, and has a desire to make something worthwhile of her life. Her initial journey to Throne has been incredibly stressful, forcing her to be a fish out of water and learn to adapt to her newfound surroundings, her strange allies, and learning to wield the incredible power granted to her. When she makes up her mind to return to Throne, Allison has developed a degree of determination that pushes her into dangerous situations. After making a deal with Incubus, Allison's personality becomes much more like that of the other demiurges, ambitious, selfish and sociopathic. However Allison's moral mind is able to reconcile with this cruel, ambitious side of her and allows her to return to a somewhat normal state of mind. One year later Allison has adapted better to life in Throne and develops a headstrong streak, frequently getting herself into situations that she is unprepared for. After the disastrous results of the battle against Jagganoth, Allison has fallen into a depressive state due to the losses she suffered and the revelations presented by Jadis. After meeting Zaid though, she fully recovers from her depression and takes up her name as Kill Six Billion Demons.
Abilities[]
Formerly, Allison had little knowledge of how to use her Key of Kings and was only able to activate its power under extreme duress, such as when she created a portal to transport herself and a ship away from Mottom's palace. When prodded to by Incubus, she was also able to invoke the power of Ys Myra, manifesting an avatar of the goddess to break free of a spell that had sealed her mouth shut and ramming into a devil that had taken Cio captive.
After the fall of the Vault of Yre, Allison began receiving training from White Chain in the 47 Empty Palms and from Cio in the Red Art. As a result, her physique has grown noticeably more muscular and her endurance, speed, and strength have all increased drastically. By infusing her body with power from her Key in conjunction with powerful strikes utilizing the teachings of the Empty Palms, she successfully defeated numerous goblins in a raid on the Golden Pleasure Guild hideout and was also able to defeat Vash's personal bodyguard with the assistance of White Chain. She can also significantly enhance her durability, as seen when a goblin attempted to stab her in the eye, the blade merely shattered upon contact. She has shown promise in the Art, capable of conjuring a plum from nothingness. In her dream training sessions with Incubus, she manifested a spear from her demiurgic power and managed to graze Incubus on the cheek despite his mastery of the Head of John technique, which should make his head invulnerable to all damage. [14]
During the ring of power Allison's proficiency in martial arts shown to be rather low, although her raw physical strength is greater than many of her opponents.[15] She is able to momentarily channel the Amunan Mantle, and later demonstrates the ability to form a stable devil-skin warrior with Cio, Allicio. Allison is able to use her key to shield her companions from Jagganoth's arrival and form an even larger fusion with Cio and White Chain. Yet Allison's ability to use her key is still rather surface level. Her spiritual core is described as unrefined and her meridians are still blocked.[16]
History[]
Early Life[]
Allison attended elementary school at Meadows Elementary. During her time there, a classmate named Sarah Greene was diagnosed with cancer. Allison was the only one to sit with her at lunch and kept Sarah company. When Sarah died, the school held a service. Her death stuck with Allison for a long time.[17]
Kill Six Billion Demons[]
The story begins during an awkward attempt by Allison to lose her virginity with her boyfriend, Zaid, which is interrupted by the sudden appearance of a wounded stranger in otherworldly armor. The bedroom is torn apart by a portal, revealing that he is pursued by a troop of mounted Thorn Knights, who decapitate him and kidnap Zaid. The now-headless figure, apparently not dead, shoves the Key he is carrying into Allison's forehead, causing her to be transported directly into Throne, the Key now existing as a white gem on her brow.
Panicking at her surroundings and their non-human inhabitants, Allison stumbles into the angel 82 White Chain during an attempted arrest of the crime lord Omun Vash, inadvertently saving White Chain while allowing Vash to escape.[18] Noticing Allison's Key, White Chain assumes it to be stolen, and so takes Allison into custody and under their personal supervision. Eventually convinced of Allison's ignorance and innocence, White Chain plans to have a devil acquaintance try to remove the Key from Allison's brow. On their way to Hell 71 to find them, the angel explains to Allison the layout and inhabitants of Throne, as well as the multiversal creation myth involving YISUN's divine suicide and self-division.[19]
Arriving in the lair of Pramand Nand and his slaver guild, White Chain is able to deceitfully negotiate a meeting with his enslaved blue devil, Ciocie Cioelle, by falsely promising to hand over Allison to him.[20] After slaying the devils sent to keep watch over them, White Chain (with Cio's impatient assistance) explains the history of Zoss' First Conquest, the subsequent peace and forging of the Keys as both weapons and tools for activating King's Doors, the still-ongoing Second Conquest fought over posession of the Keys, and the current ceasefire created by the surviving seven demiurges.[21] Believing Allison's Key to be stolen from one of them, White Chain believes that if it is not returned immediately, the universal war could reignite into all-out conflict. But before Cio could be convinced to assist in this task, White Chain is taken off guard and completely petrified by a needle-like weapon thrown by 23 Liminal Blossom, under the employment of Omun Vash.
As Vash and Liminal Blossom attempt to leave with Allison, they are accosted by groups from several other criminal guilds, who have also heard through information networks about a young human girl in posession of a Key of Kings. At the same time, a small demi-imp is spreading the news of Allison's Key to everyone in the main hall of Hell 71, with almost all of the assorted adventurers seeking to fight and take the Key for themselves.[22]
The ensuing eruption of violence allows Allison to break free, and Cio arrives to save her. Under Cio's goading to take action, Allison is able to release White Chain from petrification and refuses to just be dragged around unwilling by people anymore. While White Chain is angered by this, they are engaged in combat by Liminal Blossom before being able to do anything about it. Cio and Allison seemed cornered as a large-scale guild war breaks out around them, and Cio pushes Allison seemingly to her death, correctly guessing that this would cause an instinctual activation of the Key, teleporting her to safety.[23] Now temporarily in the Void, Allison's soul meets the armored figure who first gave her the Key. He refers to her as "Alice" and cryptically urges her to slay the seven-headed beast, before revealing himself to be Zoss, the first Conquering King.[24] He finishes by mysteriously saying "Kill Six Billion Demons," while at the same time the Demiurges have met in the distance, and recieve Jadis' prophecy about Zoss' chosen successor arriving soon to kill them all, under the name Kill Six Billion Demons.[25]
Allison finally arrives back in her bedroom on Earth, deeply shaken. While her friends try to console her without knowing what she has gone through, she ponders on her identity and inability to take action. Ultimately she resolves to return to Throne and save Zaid, who is still captured under unknown circumstances.[26] Allison is able to intentionally activate the Key, arriving directly in the Void.
Wielder of Names[]
In shade form, Allison has arrived a devil bar, established underneath Earth's King's Door,[27] where she is immediately met by Cio. Noticing Imperiatrix Nadia Om's (Mottom's) Palace of Radiance flying overhead, Allison is determined to go to it, but neither Cio nor a trio of bystanding vatra are willing to assist her, fearing the demiurge's reputation. Instead, an Ebon Devil named Vladok offers to take her up if she can best him in a drinking game - but if she loses, he gets her Key of Kings.[28]
Despite Cio's attempt to help Allison cheat,[29] she wins the contest by her own drinking ability.[30] But Vladok accuses her of cheating regardless, breaking the contract and thus becoming an unbound devil. Allison is able to re-mask the monster, giving him a name so long (and ridiculous) so as to reduce him all the back down to a mere blue devil.[31] Tipped off that Praman Nand is hunting her down,[32] Cio decides to help Allison, and the two escape in pursuit of Mottom's palace. Unoconscious from the liquor, Allison recieves a visit inside her mind by the demiruge Incubus.
Allison awakens on the world of Mykos, witnessing the devastation done to the landscape by Mottom's imperial harvesting. Departing from Cio, she stumbles into Nyave Anyadis, a slave maiden who was being collected into Mottom's service, but in a moment of fear fled from the column escorting her and 99 other girls.[33] Allsion takes Nyave's cloak and is able to sneak into the group, thus gaining access to the palace.
Witnessing the failed assassination attempt, and death, of king recently brought under Mottom's empire,[34] Allison reveals herself and her key to the Imperiatrix. After being dressed up in luxury, Allison is seated in a private banquet hall with the demiurge, now suddenly a shrivelled old lady rather than the beautiful young woman she appeared as before. Mottom tries to glean more information about Allison, her Key, and Zaid, while revealing that she does not want Allison's key,[35] and is in fact ruled by fear herself. She explains that the strongest of the demiurges, Jagganoth, has been preparing to annihilate the multiverse and only the unfractured strength of the other six has a hope of standing against him.[36] Mottom tells Allison than Zaid is held by another demiurge in the Fortress of Yre, and reveals the secret to her immortal youth: peaches grown from the corpse of her husband, turned into a tree and fed the blood of slave maidens she collects from her worlds.[37] Disgusted by what she sees and goaded on by an apparition of Zoss, Allison summons a spear of energy and destroys the tree, cutting off Mottom's source of immortality.
Leaving Mottom destitute in the garden, Allison is unable to activate her Key to warp out of the palace.[38] She is pursued by guards into a large abandoned room where she meets Maya, having encountered her once before in Hell 71, and caught a glimpse of in the crowd of Mottom's ball earlier. The rest of the Pursuers sent by Pranam Nand enter the room, and as a violent free-for-all begins White Chain and the igneous angel 6 Juggernaut Star arrive to take Allison. White Chain is able to escape with Allison to the outer balcony of the disc. To prevent Juggernaut Star's pursuit, Maya uses a broken sword hilt to not only bisect the angel, but even the surrounding building - this causes Juggernaut Star to self-destruct, either incapacitating or killing the battling Pursuers and guards.
Mottom ambushes the Allison and White Chain just before they reach the edge of the palace disc, effortlessly tossing the angel aside and severly wounding Allison with vines piercing her arms and legs. However, Cio, Nyave, and Princess arrive with stolen airship to rescue her, having safely picked up White Chain as well. Mottom hesitates in killing them all, and giving Allison enough time, under Cio's instruction, to teleport the ship and everyone on it back to Throne.[39]
Seeker of Thrones[]
Aboard the Yamga in the vicinity of Throne, the group catch each other up on all that has happened. When Allison mentions where Zaid is being held, Cio is visibly bothered and White Chain seems to know why. Frustrated by the ongoing lack of transparency, Allison demands everyone explain their reasons for being here and helping her. Princess explains that he intends to follow Allison until she restores the power they once held when named Vladok, and argues that he's useful to Allison as a fighter. White Chain explains that she has since learned Allison does not have a normal Key, but rather the "Master Key" containing all of the secret names and voices of God, ripped directly from the Prime Angel Metatron by King Zoss. White Chain, Metatron, and 2 Michael believe that Allison was granted the Key by mistake instead of Zaid, the true heir, so her objective is to rescue rescue and deliver the Key to him.[40] Nyave explains that after seeing the horrors of the divinities, and unable to return home, she wishes to serve Allison as an advisor instead, being highly educated on a great variety of subjects by the Mykosian Silent Brothers and revealing that she's been pilotting the ship.
As Cio tries to remain secretive, Princess steals the book she is always carrying around, and Allison discovers that it has actually been a fanfiction story about Allison herself. An embarrassed Cio relents, explaining that she used to be a powerful and infamous ebon devil named Yabalchoath, with ambition so great that she successfully stole a piece of a Key from the demiurge Mammon, whose Fortress of Yre was believed to be un-robbable.[41] With her newfound power and cruelty, she was a great enough threat to Throne that a group angels had to hunt her down, and it was her husband Praman Nand who eventually remade her mask as Ciocie Cioelle. Cio does not wish to return to thieving, afraid of the person she once was, but an unsympathetic Allison successfully demands her to help form and carry out a heist on Yre.
Sometime later, Incubus' apparition again appears to Allison, promising to fulfill her dreams by making her powerful, but acknowledging that her psyche has a lot of issues standing in her way. Allison accepts and allows a bit of Incubus' own power to exist within herself, motivated by a desire to feel in control of her life.[42] Immediately, her wounds begin healing more rapidly, though her eyes and atum begin glowing a pinkish-red, indicating Incubus' influence.[43] Though now much more upbeat herself, Allison notices that Cio is more morose than usual, but their talk is interrupted by the arrival of Oscar and his gang. Allison recognizes him for being present at her drinking contest, and recruits him into the heist crew. The plan for the heist is laid out, with White Chain and Nyave on standbye to help them escape, Princess as Allison's personal bodyguard, and Oscar as the recruiter for five more thieves.
In the meantime, Allison and Cio travel to The Shades to visit the Heretic's Court and acquire sanctions for their plot, as any organized action by devils must acquire. The members of the Court end up being outright antagonistic to their petition due to Cio's past actions as Yabalchoath, but Allison is able to channel Incubus' power and successfully demand audience with the Court's King, Himself. Though Himself also greatly warns Allison of Cio's supposed true nature, he eventually consents to the plot, but asks Allison to remember him when she is offered the throne of heaven, and threatens to kill Cio with the whole might of the Heretic's Court if they fail. Though Allison was disturbed by the horrors she witnessed in the pit, Cio seemed far more distressed, upset at herself for pretending to be anything but a "flesh-eating monster," yet still committed to carrying out the heist.[44]
The group of thieves gathered outside the fortress-vault, spoke the Night Curse, and began the heist by entering through a tunnel dug by Charon and dead shades under his command. As the crew explore deeper and deeper into the fractal and trap-filled fortress, Alisson is betrayed by Suuz, "the Acrobat," but through the use of her Key is able to save herself, tossing the devil to its death instead. Thanks to the influence of both Incubus (and Oscar), Allison begins to understand that nobody in this group is loyal to one another, and she sinks into a mindset of selfishness and isolation. Just as the group sacrifices one of their own to open a door, Allison resolves to stand up against them, but notices it is to late and she no longer has control of her body.[45] Within her own mindscape, Allison is both impressed by how well her body is performing, while also fed up with all of different versions of her representing her mental hangups. She confronts Incubus to demand he relinquish control of her body, but he explains that she's still in control - just a different part of her, the sociopathic part.
The group reaches an invisible, trap-filled labyrinth which is beyond Cio's ability to remember from her infiltration as Yabalchoath, and as they carefully navigate through it are ambushed on all sides by Priests of the Count. In the ensuing melee, the crew is separated and Princess sheds some of his names to survive. Reaching the end of the maze, Allison's hair turns white from her powers and she turns on Cio, expecting the devil to stab her in the back despite her pleading to the contrary. An explosive dropped by a slain devil detonates, causing mass devastation in the maze and burying Cio under rubble; Allison leaves her for dead rather than helping. Zoss appears to Allison again, clearly displeased by her actions and disposition, warning her of becoming a monster herself and wondering if he made a mistake, as he had hoped "this cycle might bear out differently."[46] Meanwhile within her mindscape, Allison realises that though she hates the parts buried within herself, they are still important pieces of her as a person. Combining her smaller selves together, she is able to equal the power of her in-control sociopathy, but rather than battle her for control, she embraces her in a kiss,[47] mirroring the divine union of YIS and UN after their period of warring.[48]
With all of her selves united and whole, Allison finally emerges into the Great Vault itself, and notices her wounds from Mottom are hurting and bleeding again, showing that Incubus' power has fully left her. She quickly comes across Mammon and a procession of his followers, realising that not only is the Grand Dragon blind and semi-senile, but he is far more passive and gentle than his reputation claims, going so far as to lay down and let Allison try to slay him.[49] Mammon reveals that countless adventurers have broken into the vault seeking to kill him, but all have failed and decided to remain, venerating him as his priests. The High Priestess of the Count arrives, explaining that the lands within the Vault are peaceful, and threatens Allison to leave. Before Allison can ask about Zaid, she is ambushed by Cio, whose physiology now more greatly resembles Yabalcoath. Seemingly out of her mind, Cio ignores Allison's pleading and apologies, clawing gashes into her face and plunging a dagger into Allison's chest. As Cio comes back to her senses and begins crying, Allison reveals that she blocked the strike with Cio's own writing book.[50] In tears, the two of them make up and kiss. Though Allison is dazed from her injuries and confused by this, she asks Cio not to apologize for it.
As Allison faints from blood loss, the High Priestess recognizes Cio as Yabalchoath and prepares to kill her before Mammon stops her, believing execution to be "rude." Before fleeing Cio asks about Zaid, and the Priestess explains that though he dwelt in the vault for a time, he was "a product of the poison that is killing this world," and he was sold to a buyer she does not disclose before he could corrupt the priestly high caste who are born and live their whole peaceful lives within the Vault.[51]
Suddenly the peace of the vault is shattered from the skies above by Mottom's Palace of Radiance, used as a battering ram to breach its outer walls. She has come with her armies, and The Pursuers in tow, chasing Allison into Mammon's domain. Mammon's High Priestess meets Mottom in single combat, while the rest of both of their armies clash in a grand battle known as the Siege of Yre.[52] As White Chain and Nyave arrive to rescue them, the rest of the heist crew, impressively still alive, steal the airship they entered on. In the ensuing battle to get aboard the airship and keep the loot, the other devils are shot dead by Oscar, while he himself is deeply wounded and thrown overboard.
Though they lost all their loot and caused a war to start, Allison and her friends all escaped alive. Allison, Cio, and White Chain apologize for their past mistakes and how they've each treated each other. White Chain resolves to teach Allison in her own Empty Palms martial arts style and stop treating her like a victim without agency,[53] while Cio offers to teach her "some things,"[54] later clarified to refer to both The Art and a physically romantic relationship.[55]
King of Swords[]
1 year after the previous events, Allison has become a lot stronger, and is seen training pull-ups on the skull of the goddess Ys-Bey, the garden god. Her training disturbs a monk who yells at Allison for defiling the skull of the goddess, she is then greeted by Ms. Maisal, a local who has grown to know Allison and who gives her food.
Allison reveals that she has been scouting the area looking for the golden pearl guild, who the monk was previously a member of. After receiving information about the guild's whereabouts from the monk, Allison goes to their hideout. She is easily able to throw aside the guard at the door and proceeds to use the power of her key and her newly learned martial arts skills to punch the first attacker into the ceiling. Following this, she is jumps into a brawl with the remaining guild members. Allison attempts to use Empty Palms and recite the trigram mantra in battle, but makes a mistake and lets an opponent get too close and slice at her throat. Allison falls to the floor, but quickly recovers, revealing that the blade could not cut through her skin, to the shock of the other guild members. Another assailant sneaks up behind Allison and stabs a knife in her eye. The blade shatters on impact and Allison is uninjured.
Meanwhile, one of the guild members runs to inform their leader, Omu Vash, but before they can say much, they are knocked out by Allison. Vash recognizes Allison's smell, and when the latter tells him she is here to arrest him, Vash reveals that he has new hired muscle in the form of a red devil called KILL BOSS. Allison is thrown back into the hallway by KILL BOSS and her punches are ineffective against him. The devil manages to grab Allison's head and slams her face into a wall multiple times, being impressed at her toughness. finally breaking a hole in the wall, Allison stands back up just as White Chain jumps from the roof of a nearby building and lands a kick on KILL BOSS's face. The angel admonishes Allison for her sloppy style and poor decision to take on the golden pearl guild alone, and corrects Allison's posture in the middle of the fight. The two then strike as one, sending KILL BOSS back through the same hole in the wall as before. Vash tells the devil to continue fighting, but KILL BOSS quits, saying he isn't paid enough to deal with this. Left alone, Vash is arrested by White Chain and Allison.
In the Spires district, Allison and White Chain relax on a bus as they bring Vash to prison. Allison is proud of her accomplishments and though White Chain acknowledges her progress in training, she still thinks she relies on her Key too much.[56] White Chain stresses an emphasis on the trigram mantra, "the foundation of all fist arts" to Allison: Wisdom, Restraint, Emptiness. She is ultimately proud of Allison and smiles, making Allison very happy. Allison says it is nice to see White Chain relaxing, to which she protests. Together they bring Vash to a Judicator tower, kept by 2 Root Knights. Allison learns that due to the decay of Throne's legal system, Vash will be let go, angering her. White Chain escorts her away. Allison is upset not only with the angel guards, but their misgendering of White Chain, though White Chain is unsure of what she means. Allison catches herself and says she looks good in a dress. White Chain explains to her that her kind view her as broken and that Allison can not be trusted. The two move on to continue Allison's training.
Some time later, Allison is in her new home, looking at herself in the mirror and thinking about her appearance as she puts on makeup. Her white hair, the scars across her face from Cio. She felt hideous and still does from time to time, that she has always been too fat, too thin, too muscular, too ugly. Yet despite everything, maybe for the first time, it feels like her and Throne feels like home.[57] She heads downstairs to begin her daily routine, including her training with White Chain and Cio. Cio is instructing her on magic as she creates a plum out of the very air itself. Afterwards, the two have sex and have an intimate moment at the window, where Allison confesses this life doesn't feel like her own, but she feels comfortable. Allison ultimately feels anxiety about what is to come. Cio leaves, telling her she complains and worries too much, upsetting Allison. Allison moves on to her final training for the day, in her mindscape with Incubus.[58] Allison asks Incubus if she is strong as they begin their duel. He tells her she is afraid of power, that she is a demiurge who must break power and make it hers or else it will destroy her. She conjures a ten cubit spear and manages to scratch Incubus's cheek, causing him to bleed. She says she doesn't want to be strong and merely wants to survive. Incubus tells her the origin story of Solomon David. Their lesson ends with Allison learning that they key nature of the demiurges is that none of them have won, they are princes of the world, taking, breaking, killing, and conquering anything they like. The moral of the story, she learns, is that for all of Solomon David's power: he has not won yet.[59]
Afterwards, Allison is playing cards with her friends, upset at White Chain for folding again instead of bluffing. Cio storms off to have a smoke and Allison follows her, sitting on the stoop. Allison gets upset as Cio refuses to admit her true feelings. Just then, a stranger arrives.[60] This stranger turns out to be Gog-Agog, one of the demiurges. She immediately punches her in the face.[61] Allison refuses to accept an offering of her worm and is instead offered Solomon's empire, learning that the winner of the Tournament of Power is granted a wish by Solomon himself. Allison learns that Zaid is being held by Solomon. She talks with her friends about what to do, feeling compelled to save Zaid. White Chain stresses caution, saying that Allison isn't ready. Nyave emphasizes the need to act, even at risk to their own lives. Allison decides she will join the tournament. She asks Cio if she will come as well, getting upset at how withdrawn and unsupportive she is. Cio confesses she is finally happy, safe, and not hurting anyone. Allison says she has to leave, Cio refuses to join.[62]
Allison, White Chain, Nyave, and Princess leave for Rayuba. Allison fills out the necessary paperwork and effortlessly breezes through the preliminary challenges. White Chain tells Allison she is losing control and must remember the Trigram Mantra, which Allison ignores. When White Chain says that Cio was right and that this path will lead to destruction, Allison says it has worked so far and she won't take advice from a walking statue who won't even stand up for herself.[63] Some time later, Allison goes back to apologize to White Chain for her behavior. White Chain tells her that she will be joining the tournament to give their plan a greater chance at success and if she has to fight Allison, so be it.[64]
Allison begins the tournament by fighting Eris Lo-Kai, one of the Pursuers.[65] Eris redirects Allison's attack back at her and strikes her with a vacus needle, blocking her atum and numbing her arm. Losing her nerve for a moment, Allison resolves herself that she only has to punch him to win. She is pierced multiple times and driven to the edge of the arena, where her nerve breaks again and she fears White Chain was right all along. Without the use of her arms, she uses the technique White Chain does to adjust her stance, stepping on Eris's sword, kicking him in the shoulder, chin, and the back of the head. Allison falls over, having successfully knocked Eris Lo-Kai out of the ring.[66] Allison lies on the ground, thinking about how Cio was right, she did rush in just to hurt herself again, but feels like she must do it quickly and on her own terms to get over it, like ripping off a bandaid. Just then, Allison realizes her Key of Kings is showing and that Solomon David has noticed.[67]
In a montage, Allison progresses through rounds 2 and 3, fighting Sephara of Zae, a snake person with 4 arms by using a 10 cubit spear, and dodging a red kanabo of a red devil Butcher Karkin.[68]
