The fourth chapter of the second volume of Kill Six Billion Demons began to be released on February 20, 2016.[1] It includes twenty offerings.
Synopsis[]
Allison arrives to the Palace of Radiance with the rest of Mykos' offering of girls. They are taken by one of the Queen's Dames through the floating edifice to the audience with the sovereign, which takes many hours as each supplicant (such as the Guild of the Crimson Lamb, Preem Pantyr of the Polisher's Guild and Emissary Saharus of the Celestial Empire) presents its tribute and gratitude.
After Saharus, King Pryan Sor of Aiman-Shan dares to stand up to Mottom and accuse her of driving his world to ruin and famine, to which Nadia responds with a "merciful" spell that turns him into an immortal fruit tree. His bodyguard is swiftly blown apart in a cloud of cherry petals, and the entire court kneels.
At this moment, a terrified Allison makes her presence known by refusing to kneel, and is taken away to a private room packed with food for her.
While Nadia mocks her evident terror, Allison attempts to learn where Zaid has been taken to, and to give away her Key of Kings, but the Queen refuses - the Pact of the Seven Part World hangs on the edge of a knife, as Jagganoth has become invincible and fixated with annihilating the Wheel, and only the combined strength of the other six Demiurges could hope to defeat him.
Therefore, Nadia cannot take Zoss' key for herself and risk this alliance, and instead begins to lay out a proposal for Allison...
