Synopsis[]
The Seven Demiurges are convened in the Concordance of the Demiurges, the ruined parliament hall built on top of the center of Throne, and thus, of the Wheel. Solomon David, tired of the squabbles between Nadia Om and Mammon, has called them, as well as Gog-Agog, Jadis and Incubus, to remind them both of the Universal War that started in that same building, and of the pact that froze the conflict in its current state.
Incubus, appearing late after his onirical meeting with Allison, mocks him for pretending the war between the Demiurges is over. While Mottom and Jadis dispute his right to attend the Gathering (and ignore Gog-Agog's complaints over repeatedly getting her head blown off by Nadia's spells), Solomon acknowledges him and accuses the missing Ruling King, Zoss, of breaking their peace by choosing an heir, and the fiery Red God, Jagganoth, of preparing open war against all of them.
The Rayuban Emperor also brings up the mystery of Zaid, Zoss' supposed heir, and Allison, the actual bearer of his Key of Kings, who has escaped from both the Palace of Radiance and Yre and is still at large. Gog-Agog shows admiration for her, earning Nadia's ire again, and the Imperiatrix questions Solomon's right to keep Zaid as prisoner.
To this, Solomon simply responds by blowing apart the stone table around which they sit with his little finger, using one of his Ki Rata techniques.
In the silence that follows, Solomon once again insists that the Pact must be upheld to destroy Jagganoth when the time comes, for to fail in this would spell doom for the Multiverse. Gog-Agog, however, keeps a resentful expression on her rebuilt visage...
