The third chapter of the fifth volume of Kill Six Billion Demons began to be released on August 27, 2021.[1] It includes 37 offerings. Once it was finished, Abbadon took a hiatus from December 2021[2] to April 2022.[3].
Synopsis[]
Having been in the path of the unbound Jagganoth's Supreme Divine Art: Blood-Sated Sword Soul, Allison is blasted into the sea, losing her right arm to shrapnel in the process. Cio (also having lost her right arm) saves her from certain drowning and drags her ashore. Allison wakes and is admonished and embraced by Cio, as Jagganoth begins to destroy the remaining demiurges. Jagganoth kills Mammon, then Mottom, absorbing their keys into his own, before turning to face Allison and Incubus (who has crawled out of the now-bloody sea).
Solomon David lies inert and injured on a slab of stone as a group of his subjects surround him. Upon waking into a stupor, and beginning to take steps back towards the battlefield, he is confronted by an old lady, who admonishes him for having enforced his draconian moral code: yet having failed utterly to protect his people. The cries of his other subjects joining in cause Solomon to flash back to the genocide of his people in the Universal War, awakening Solomon into a state of rage.
As Jagganoth marches towards Incubus, he is intercepted by an enraged Solomon Davis, who activates his forbidden Temple Art: Slayer of Immortals, punching Jagganoth through the barrier between several universes and finally into Throne. As Solomon Davis remembers his inability to save his people, he hits Jagganoth with his ultimate Technique of Relief: sealing Jagganoth into a massive obsidian sphere.
Purple fluid pours from the shattered hole in the barrier between universes. Allison, traumatized, begs for it to all be over as Incubus heals and tells Allison of the steps to take next. When Allison continues to reject Incubus, he puts forth an ultimatum: to get up and fight, or stay and die like worthless trash. Cio, having snuck out of sight of Incubus, stabs Incubus through the chest with a knife she conjured. Allison remains frozen as Incubus cuts Cio apart in front of her. Now thoroughly in shock, Allison remains inert as Incubus tells her that if she didn't want Cio to die, she should have stopped him, echoing Meti's teachings. Allison does not move as Incubus swings to decapitate her - only to be blocked by Maya.
As Maya prepares to face off against Incubus, Allison crawls to the puddle of black sludge and mask shards that once was Cio. A projection of Jadis rises from the sludge, offering a hand to Allison, who takes it and vanishes.
