Tusked beasts are beasts of burden that resemble elephants, used throughout Throne. Their use dates all the way back to the Golden Age of the demiurges until the present.[1][2][3]
Persistent shades can be pulled and bound into dead flesh or clay to create servants and mounts. Some people do this to themselves as a kind of contingency plan should they die. The living dead are not truly sapient though.[4] Some creatures are made of Shades so that they do not deteriorate along the King's Road.[5] These creatures are shades that have been bound into an elephant-like corpse, giving the body a skull-face. It was joked that they have their own advocates like the Undying Lords, and their own guild of these advocates called the Skull-Elephant Guild or something.[6]
